You can just “let it go” and have us do your experience planning, creating your Frozen vacation (7 days/8 nights) starting with a focus on Denmark’s beloved 19th century storyteller and his life in 19th century Denmark. You will walk in his footsteps in his childhood hometown of Odense as well as in his adopted hometown, Copenhagen. You will become familiar with his life through time spent in Odense walking the cobblestoned streets on a special tour of the city as well as some hours spent in The Old Funen Village of Odense. You will learn about his life and see items from Andersen and his family up close and personal in the H.C. Andersen Museum. You will tour the harbor city and explore the places that were at the center of Andersen’s life in Copenhagen. Then you will travel by overnight cruise ship from Copenhagen, Denmark to Oslo the capital of Norway, the land of The Snow Queen. You will spend 2 days exploring the capital city of Oslo, host of the annual Nobel Prize ceremony, before taking a train to Bergen, the western Norwegian city that is the real-life Arendelle
Once in Norway, you will
- personally view stunning waterfalls, magnificent glaciers and gorgeous fjords
- have the option to raft a wild river in Voss
- hear great stories from local fishermen at the famous wharf in Bergen’s center
- hike the mountains to view Gierangerfjord and Hardangerfjord near Bergen
- visit beautiful stave churches and learn about Norwegian rosemaling
- participate in Norwegian folk dancing
