Thoughts and Prayers for California Wine Country

Caifornia’s northern wine region was hard hit on Sunday, August 24 with a massive earthquake, of a magnitude not seen since 1989 (which means it does not happen often!). I know my Danish friends and acquaintances and many around the world are sending thoughts and prayers to California at this devastating time. We said a special prayer at dinner the other night for those whose homes and business were damaged in the quake, which has brought about a state of emergency. Danes have a special and historical connection to California, the Solvang connection. I know this sad event touches many and my heart is with everyone in Cali. ~~ Barrett

Alvin Ailey Returns to Copenhagen!

Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre is coming back to Tivoli in Copenhagen!

Back in 2005 they were only being invited every other year. Their popularity has grown so much in Denmark, that the Alvin Ailey Dance Teahtre troupe is being brought back almost annually. It is a pleasure to see such marvelously talented dancers who can do things that seem humanly impossible. They seem to not even touch the floor and to take flight! Be sure to get tickets early!
